Our collection of over 50,000 books, manuscripts, maps and other materials is spread over three floors of our beautiful Grade II* listed building, right in the middle of Nottingham’s city centre. The library is a comfortable place to read, work or socialise and new members are always welcome.
Our Vision
Our vision remains unchanged, over 200 years after we first began. Our mission is two-fold:
- To enrich the lives of our users through access to our unique collection of books and other materials, and a community sharing knowledge, information and creativity.
- To preserve the physical fabric of Bromley House, a significant historic building, for the benefit of the community.
Our vision is to be recognised as one of the key cultural, literary and heritage assets in Nottinghamshire.
